Key job responsibilities -Develop and implement the editorial vision, strategy, and content roadmap to support the company's broader business objectives -Own the strategy, briefing & execution of Zappos’ Tier 1 campaign initiatives -Lead, manage, and mentor a team of writers to ensure efficient, effective content production -Develop & maintain a brand voice & copy best practices guide -Oversee the editorial review and approval process to maintain brand voice, quality standards, and editorial integrity -Collaborate with marketing, buying, and other teams to ensure content aligns with user/customer needs and business goals -Monitor content performance metrics and leverage data-driven insights to continuously optimize the editorial strategy -Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for content innovation -Represent the editorial function and serve as a subject matter expert BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
-8+ years working in a digital retail or media organization -Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field; advanced degree preferred PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Proven track record of building, managing, and developing high-performing editorial teams -Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong command of grammar, style, and tone -Proficient in data analysis and using metrics to inform content strategy and decision-making -Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into compelling editorial experiences -Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders -Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $178,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
