Overview
The Salesperson/Designer role offers a hands-on family friendly business and the opportunity to work with a variety of clients providing warm relationship building, coordinating and executing sales, and designing and beautifying their homes with window treatments, residential blinds, and custom window treatments. The salesperson/designer works personally with clients meeting them to discuss their design goals, project scope, and securing orders for their window treatments and blinds.
The Salesperson/Designer will weekly meet clients in their homes, to review order options, current styles, colors, and treatment options for their project as project manager of the sale. Local domestic travel from our Shelby Township home base office to meet clients' appointments in the metro Detroit area is required. The opportunity offers a competitive hourly wage, eligibility for commission, benefits, and a flexible daytime based weekly schedule, based on the client portfolio and our loyal client base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborating with the client to determine the requirements of the customer's order, design, and project.Discuss color scheme, order timeline and goals to achieve customer satisfaction and order consensus.Drafting and completing quotes to share with the client for the desired work order.Work closely with clients and develop alternative designs to meet their needs; suggest, recommend, and present multiple ideas.Complete data entry of the customer orders, specific requirements, color, and design to ensure accurate and timing orders.Project management of assigned clients order from start to finish.Ongoing communication with clients and internal team, including sharing order status, coordinating installation timing, and addressing any questions or concerns.Develop and implement successful sales strategies to help build relationships and business.Establish and maintain productive working relationships with people inside and outside the company.Other duties as assigned by manager.Education and/or Experience:
Minimum high school diploma or GED1-to-3-years prior retail sales, or similar sales experience desiredPrevious sales experience in retail furniture sales home furnishing, or custom window treatment and design highly preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Excellent customer service and clear communicationEye for detail and designComputer literate and comfortable with basic MS Office programs and operationsWillingness to learn.Self-motivated and creativeAbility to sell with confidence.Friendly and works well with people.Clean driving record and current license
