HMP Global is looking for a Senior Manager of Scientific Content to lead the development and execution of educational and scientific content for our market-leading portfolio of events. This role will drive agenda development, content management, and slide development for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events aimed at healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for advancing knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Educational Programming and Steering Committee members to develop conference agendas.
- Identify emerging trends and topics to ensure agenda relevance and scientific rigor.
- Engage with internal staff and external thought leaders to align content with audience needs and strategic goals.
Slide Development:
- Working collaboratively with the Scientific Director, develop and refine high-quality presentation slides for grant-supported talks, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with grant proposals.
- Adapt complex scientific concepts into engaging and accessible visual formats for diverse audiences.
- Provide support to speakers in preparing and customizing their presentations.
- Serve as the primary scientific liaison with faculty, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and external stakeholders for grant-supported content.
Event Execution Support:
- Participate in planning calls associated with grant-supported sessions, ensuring speakers are well-prepared and content is aligned with the program objectives.
- Support live events by addressing real-time content or speaker needs.
- Attend assigned events and other portfolio events, as necessary.
- Stay current with advances in assigned therapeutic areas to maintain high-quality programming.
- Explore ways to continually improve the content development process for grant-supported content.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Advanced scientific degree.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of clinical or research experience in a medical affairs/scientific content role.
- Proven experience in medical education, agenda development, and/or content management for professional audiences.
Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong proficiency in slide development tools (e.g., PowerPoint) and familiarity with design best practices.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Other:
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards for medical education, such as ACCME/Joint Accreditation Guidelines.
- Experience working with thought leaders is a plus.
