We are seeking a Lead Video Editor who is excited to craft meaningful, impactful content for a global audience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in long-form, multicam editing, enjoys bringing creative energy to promotional content, and is passionate about optimizing post-production workflows.
This is a full-time position + benefits that reports directly to the Senior Director of Production.
Responsibilities
- Edit in Premiere, adhering to Commune’s established post-production workflow
- Edit multicam course videos (approximately 15-40 minutes in length)
- Bring creative ideas to GFX visuals for course videos, following Commune Style Guide
- Edit promotional & social media videos to promote courses and Commune membership
- Collaborate with content and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality video content
Skills
- Strong storytelling skills
- Ability to identify and extract compelling moments from long-form content to craft engaging social media videos with strong hooks
- Knowledge of Adobe suite including Premiere & Photoshop
- Self-motivated with a commitment to high-quality standards
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Highly organized, and able to contribute & evolve existing workflows
- Ability to identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions
- Expertise in keyboard shortcuts for efficient editing workflow
- Familiar with 4k/proxy workflow
- Color Correction using Lumetri
- Solid understanding of frame rates, codecs, and preparing media for web distribution
- Experience with google office suite
- Can do attitude - solution oriented
- Editor’s mind - come up with workarounds and solutions to tech issues that arise
- Experience managing captions and embedding them into videos as needed
Requirements
- Applicants must have native-level fluency in English, as clear communication and understanding of nuanced language are essential for this role.
Relationships
- Reports to Senior Director of Production
- Liaises with Production, Content, and Marketing departments
Compensation
Starts with a 30-day freelance trial period at 40 hours per week, paid hourly (DOE). Upon successful completion, this transitions to a full-time role with a salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 DOE, plus benefits.
