SUMMARY
The Media Supervisor, Planning is the day-to-day agency lead, develops strategic approach, and is a marketing partner for the clients. This person understands the clients' business and can manage the daily deliverables within the team and across agency.
This role will manage and mentor junior talent and will report into the Associate Media Director.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for strategic recommendations and leading presentations that are target centric and meet client marketing objectives
- Maintain great working relationships with clients, with a solid foundation of trust and prompt communication.
- Utilize media research tools to inform and sell in strategic direction of plans with supporting evidence for recommendations.
- Work with media buying counterparts to build recommendations, meet timelines and ensure KPIs are achieved.
- Consistently maintain media budget documentation, including flowcharts, agency and client billing.
- Coach team on media strategy, target driven recommendations, problem solving, etc. to grow individual and team expertise. This includes facilitating internal and external training.
- Grow culture of the team and agency as a leader, including participation in team events, ensuring best practices are implemented and leading by example in excellence.
- Seven+ years of client facing media planning experience, with preference given to agency background.
- Specialization in digital is a plus, but broader tactic mix knowledge is required. Local market planning is also a benefit.
- Some media buying experience a plus, helping to facilitate a strong relationship with teammates in buying discipline roles.
- Two+ years management experience of leading direct reports, including coaching in tactical excellence and facilitating upward career movement/learnings.
- Strong mathematic and analytical skills, with ability to project business impact using market, client and industry data. Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint required. Proficiency in MRI-Simmons and comScore is also required.
- Bias for transparent and open dialogue and an always-learning lens.
- This position is a hybrid position. You must be able to be on-site Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday weekly.
- Ability to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
