You should be skilled in building plans, identifying influencers, and staying ahead of trends. Key Responsibilities Media/Influencer Relations Develop and maintain strong relationships with over ten key media outlets across various industries Identify new media opportunities and share insights with team and agency regularly Proactively pitch stories to generate media coverage Coach junior staff to foster team growth and relationships Utilize social media creatively to support campaigns Measure and report on ROI of communications activities Engage with social media influencers, develop content campaigns, and amplify media coverage Client Service/Management Manage projects from concept to execution Monitor competitors and identify opportunities for client positioning Lead client PR calls and provide strategic counsel Develop quarterly PR campaigns, including creative ideas, trend analyses, and thought leadership topics Manage key elements of the PR program (analysts, speaking engagements, content) Serve as a reliable client contact and develop budgets and priorities Conduct media training sessions with clients, developing key messages and follow-ups Writing Proficiencies Design comprehensive campaign or PR program plans Draft and edit press releases, backgrounders, bios, reports, articles, pitches, and internal communications Ensure professional, clear, and timely client communication Create successful, creative pitches consistently Agency Operations Participate in new business pitches and research Attend and promote networking events Maintain a respectful and professional attitude, leading by example Support team efforts and manage upward and downward communication Utilize flexible work policies responsibly Contribute to Highwire’s social channels and blog Mentor junior staff for development Self Development Set quarterly goals with your manager, track progress, and demonstrate growth Prioritize responsibilities effectively based on impact and deadlines Drive projects independently, minimizing management oversight Identify and suggest areas for self-improvement Meet deadlines or communicate proactively if delays occur Participate in networking events regularly Highwire Perks Competitive salary and merit-based bonuses Hybrid work model and generous vacation policy Benefits including 401K match, health coverage, parental leave, commuting benefits, equipment stipends, and wellness programs Opportunities for growth, mentorship, recognition, and referral bonuses Fun, dog-friendly environment and a culture focused on learning and support The duties outlined may vary depending on account needs.
