ABOUT THIS JOB
:
Our Director of Retail Marketing is responsible for leading a team in the development and execution of consistent in-store strategies across all North American pet specialty channels and retailers. With a sharp customer-centric mindset, this critical role will be responsible for developing and managing product promotions, retailer incentives, and merchandising programs to positively impact customer behaviors and improve retailer performances. This person exhibits strong analytical skills, assessing performance across channels. A team player, this person collaborates closely with senior leadership, sales, product managers, and creative to commercially activate plans to deliver the brand's strategic and financial objectives. This individual is commercially minded, exhibits strong project management skills, and is a creative problem solver.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:Coach and develop a team of 3 direct reports, creating an engaged, inclusive, and high-performing teamEstablish and direct the development and execution of high-impact in-store experience strategy across all channels and retailers. Perform business & competitive analysis; understand specialty pet food retail and consumer insights to create meaningful and innovative programsPlan, develop, execute and analyze all consumer incentives and overall promotions. Conceptualize and produce impactful go-to-market activation plans in line with portfolio business strategies.Develop sampling program strategy and manage allocations; partnering with operations and field teams to maximize assortment and collaborate on channel strategyOversee merchandising, POGs, ratings & reviews, and testimonials across channelsManage marketing spending budget and report on spending results and ROIYOU ARE:

7+ years of demonstrated marketing results and experience in the US Retail market within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry, with a minimum of 5 years in foodFull omni-channel mentality, customer-centric backgroundStrong knowledge and awareness of natural specialty pet food industry, market, and competitive trendsSelf-motivated, results-oriented, organized, creative thinkerAble to drive deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic and ever-evolving environmentEffective negotiation, communication, and organizational skills with an analytical approach to identifying opportunitiesAbility to establish positive working relationships with cross-functional teams, brand leadership, global and retailer partnersAttention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solvingHigh proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.WHAT YOU'LL GET:
