Digital Marketing and Multimedia Designer
GVEC is looking to hire you for the position of Digital Marketing and Multimedia Designer to deliver the unexpected with a willingness to continuously develop yourself, your department, and our organization. As a Digital Marketing and Multimedia Designer, you will deliver innovative and engaging content across social media, websites, and various marketing channels. You will develop and execute social media strategies, email and other marketing campaigns and produce impactful collateral for digital, broadcast, and traditional platforms. As part of a collaborative marketing team, you will also contribute to project management, campaign planning and results tracking, and market research. We are looking for someone passionate about multimedia design and digital strategy to enhance our brand's online presence as well as awareness and engagement materials. In this role, you will create, curate, and manage digital assets such as graphics, photos, videos, and web content to support the marketing and communications efforts for all GVEC services.
How You’ll Help
- Create engaging multimedia content for digital and traditional marketing such as editorials, logos, brochures, banners, social media, digital ads, sales brochures, direct mailers, e-blasts, etc.
- Plan, storyboard, shoot and produce high-quality videos for social media, websites and other platforms.
- Assist with WordPress web design and development, ensuring site maintenance, on-page SEO optimization and enhanced user experience.
- Assist with and/or lead photo and video shoots, including photography and/or coordinating vendors and archiving assets.
- Assist with and/or lead creative design execution for Texas Co-op Power magazine and other high impact, high visibility corporate publications.
- Manage WordPress web pages ensuring site maintenance, on-page SEO optimization, and enhanced user experience while revising existing and creating new pages as necessary.
- Assist and/or lead project management, campaign planning and market research as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Skills You’ll Need
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
- Competency in the functionality of Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Professionalism regarding time management, initiative, and cross-departmental engagement.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
- Responsive across multiple communication platforms with thorough follow-up.
- Effective problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting minor issues independently.
- A collaborative team player with individual accountability for performance and team evolvement.
- Ability to lift and transport items such as audio/video/photo equipment.
- Flexibility to work after hours, on-call and/or in emergency situations as necessary.
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Knowledge of digital marketing best practices, including SEO, email marketing and social media strategies.
- Experience with analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights, to track and measure performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications/marketing or related field and/or a minimum of 3 years related experience.
