to elevate our content and its reach using best practices in story packaging, SEO, social media promotion. The successful candidate will have strong news judgement, experience with audience metrics and the ability to write clear and accurate copy and social posts using AP style.The
Digital Producer
will report to the
Digital Operations Manager
and will assist in all aspects of elevating the design and promotion of our content, writing stories, producing videos, curating photo galleries, and helping us achieve our digital goals.If you’re up to the challenge of moving us forward, read on for job requirements and information on how to share your qualifications and best work.Key responsibilities:Manage home page and send push alerts to engage a loyal audience.Monitor SEO trends in our market, track our daily progress to goals and make recommendations for new content or adjustments to existing content.Create engaging social media posts on all relevant platforms, editing video or creating graphics as needed.Provide digital production on content including the creation of infographics, relevant embeds and ensuring SEO and production best practices are followed.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.At least two years of professional journalism experience.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong sense of journalism ethics and grounding in basics of media law.Commitment to reporting with fairness, compassion, and sensitivity.Command of AP style and dedication to accuracy.Ability to work early morning, night or weekend shifts as needed.Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a remote team.Expected pay range:This is a full-time, hourly position with an expected annual pay of $48,000 to $55,000
