Overview
Arrange dates, times, and venues for all performances. Work with the Amadeus Orchestra conductor to set the orchestra budget. Hire performers and negotiate repertoire for all non-orchestra performances. Prepare program notes and deliver a pre-concert talk at each performance.
Implement educational efforts:
Set up open rehearsals and side-by-side rehearsals. Build relationships with teachers (public schools, private schools, homeschooling groups).
Manage other administrative staff as applicable. Work with the Board to:
Develop meeting agendas, attend meetings, and drive the discussion of key topics necessary to implement the organization’s mission. Lead fundraising work:
Plan an annual charity auction and an annual fundraising party. Cultivate relationships with individual and corporate donors and businesses. Research grant opportunities and prepare applications.
Spearhead marketing and outreach:
Build relationships in the community. Oversee our stakeholder database. Grow our social media presence.
The ideal candidate will bring: An artistic vision shaped by deep musical knowledge. Non-profit experience, especially as a leader. Excellent skills in writing and public speaking.
