Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Earned Ph.D. in Music Theory or a Ph.D. in Musicology with a theory concentration. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Record of scholarly accomplishments: publications and presentations at conferences. • Evidence of teaching experience in music theory. • We welcome candidates whose research areas complement those of the existing faculty. Examples include, but are not limited to, aural skills pedagogy, global musics, histories of music theory, Indigenous musics, jazz, music and media, music cognition, and popular musics. • Our music theory area is committed to fostering excellence in teaching and scholarship in both new and existing areas in music theory.
