Overview and Objectives of the Position: The Group Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing engaging, brand-driven marketing strategies across the USA and UK to support Skyborne's global revenue streams. This includes driving student and employee recruitment initiatives, customer engagement, and brand representation across all media channels. The role requires expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, programmatic advertising, and website optimization, as well as the ability to manage Skyborne’s PR, brand design, and external marketing agency relationships. The objective is to ensure all marketing efforts align with Skyborne’s Business Plan and contribute to achieving the organization’s revenue and recruitment goals. Key Relationships: Chief Executive Officer Commercial Director US & UK Head of Training UK & US Customer Support UK & US Recruitment Manager UK & US External Agencies - Webology, 8020 Communications, INARIA Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Develop and execute marketing strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets aligned with Skyborne’s Business Plan. Lead the planning, reporting, and review of strategic marketing activities. Lead the development of marcomms’ activities for all channels including digital to meet organizational aims with cohesiveness and creativity. Oversee and manage Skyborne’s website to ensure all performance metrics are optimized, including SEO, PPC, programmatic advertising, remarketing, metadata, and sponsored links. Manage social media, including content and innovation, and coordinate with internal and external industry events and milestones. Lead marketing efforts to support student and employee recruitment, including employer branding and candidate attraction campaigns. Stay abreast of progress and direction in the aviation training, airline, and education sectors to ensure Skyborne capitalizes on development opportunities. Contribute to the Senior Management Team, owning strategic marketing initiatives and delivering on identified projects. Regularly review the performance and cost-effectiveness of external digital and marketing service providers ensuring quality and value for money. Manage key relations with external media outlets, journalists, and broadcast organizations in the UK, USA, and the rest of the world as required. Manage and deliver the relevant budgets and KPIs as set by the Directors. Help arrange and attend appropriate meetings and events as directed. Qualifications: Proven expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, programmatic advertising, and website optimization. Strong understanding of emerging marketing trends, technologies (especially Salesforce and Marketo), and integration strategies. Strong track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive sales and revenue growth. Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics, produce ROI, and make informed decisions. Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Hootsuite, etc. Early adopter of AI and efficiency tools across marketing platforms to capitalize on trends and speed-to-market opportunities. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and regions. Strategic thinker with the ability to create and mobilize a cohesive global marketing strategy. Proven track record for driving sales and revenue figures. Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment. Previous Senior Management experience. Creative, innovative, and adaptable, with a team-oriented mindset.
