Cultural Care Au Pair is seeking a PR & Communications Specialist to develop and lead a proactive media relations program. We want more families and young adults to understand the impact cultural exchange can make on their lives and within communities – and you can help! Responsibilities: This role will work closely with our marketing, sales and government relations teams to develop a targeted, hyper-local PR strategy and communications plan to drive brand awareness, interest, and sales in growth markets. Working directly with au pair program participants and our Local Childcare Consultants around the country, this creative and self-driven person will identify and tease out compelling stories and narratives to support Cultural Care Au Pair’s primary messages: cultural exchange, the building of global families and flexible childcare options. This role will also focus on facilitating PR training and development for staff members, spokespeople and local childcare consultants to ensure consistent and positive company messaging. The ideal candidate should have: A bachelor’s degree in PR, communications, journalism, marketing or a related field of study 3-5 years of experience in public relations A passion for media relations and a track record of building relationships with key reporters and securing placements Creative problem-solving skills and an innovative, self-motivated mentality Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, including experience writing pitches, press releases, contributed posts, talking points, and briefing materials A strong ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and prioritize with minimal supervision while working in a highly entrepreneurial, ever-evolving business environment Adaptability, flexibility, creativity, resourcefulness, and a sense of humor doesn’t hurt! Compensation: Salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000.
