An employer in the San Antonio, TX area is looking for an Instructional Design Specialist to support their American Funds Service Company Team. They are looking for someone with either Captivate or Articulate 360 development background. Position will focus on about 90% design and development. Needs to have recently done design and development. This is a production-based role, will manage their own work/desk and larger quantity of work and demonstrate that during interview process. Candidates will work with SME's to create/design instructional training from inception to execution for American Funds' client services based departments. Candidates need to have experience with the ADDIE process: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation.

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
* Articulate 360 - Storyline and Rise
* Captivate
* Experience/ familiarity with theADDIE model
* Ability to develop in any modality: ILT, eLearning, virtual classroom
* Strong Microsoft Office 365 Suite (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
* Intermediate MS SharePoint Online experience (load, check in, check out documents)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:
* Samples of past work (Okay to submit if they are under an NDA)
* Design/Development experience with virtual classroom in social and collaborative learning (e.g., NovoEd, Canvas, Blackboard)
* Experience with all areas of creating training programs and materials, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong detail orientation, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
* Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team, locally and across sites
* Identifies areas for improvement within our training processes and/or technologies and makes recommendations for solutions
* Basic graphic design skills desired
* Recording and editing audio desired
* Experience with change management desired
* Experience with SharePoint Online administration and design desired
