Job Summary
The Software Developer/Game Design adjunct instructor reports to the Business and Technology Department Chair or designee. The Software Developer/Game Design adjunct Instructor's duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to classroom and lab instruction of computer programming, game development, and web design. Provide professional leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum, recruit students, participate in professional development activities, maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, and work with the various administrative functions of the college. Performs other related work as assigned. Teaching assignment may include day and evening classes.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited college. Five years of recent experience in the field and/or relevant teaching experience. Directly-related employment experience and/or certifications may possibly be substituted for a portion of the education requirement. Ability to understand the teaching and evaluation methodologies used in the total instructional process. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner. Must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments. Ability to establish effective working relationships with others. Ability to clearly communicate. Must comply with established College rules and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.Knowledge in game and web design.Experience with current gaming software.
SalaryDepends on course load
Work HoursPart-time; Could be days or evening classes.
