Job Summary
The School of Writing, Literature, and Film invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track full/part-time Instructor positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2025-2026 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Director.
Instructors may be needed to teach on campus and Ecampus courses in the following areas: Composition, Technical and Professional Writing, Business Writing, Creative Writing, Intro to Literature, Applied Journalism, and English-oriented ESL.

Key Responsibilities
90% – Instruction:
- Administer and teach undergraduate courses in the following areas: Composition, Technical and Professional Writing, Business Writing, Creative Writing, Intro to Literature, and English-oriented ESL.
- Teach courses during the fall, winter, spring, and/or summer terms as needed.
10% – Service:
- Serve on committees and attend or contribute to professional trainings as needed.
What You Will Need
- Masters degree in English, Writing, Creative Writing, Journalism, or a closely related field.
- Teaching experience at the college or university level.
- Evident commitment to educational equity.
What We Would Like You to Have
- PhD in English or a closely related field.
- Substantial experience teaching in multiple writing subjects.
- Experience developing curriculum for in-person and for Ecampus delivery.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
Pay Method: Pay Period 1st through the last day of the month
Pay Date: Last working day of the month
Recommended Full-Time Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with skills, education, and experience.
