Overview
Internationally recognized architecture firm in New York City is looking for an Intermediate Interior Designer or Interior Architect, with 3-6+ years of professional experience in luxury hospitality design to join their team.
The intermediate designer, while working with junior designers and under the supervision of a senior designer or project manager, provides design support and is actively involved in all phases of design including programming, concept design, space planning, FF&E selection, and procurement.
Qualifications:
degree in interior design or interior architecture
minimum 3-6+ years of relevant professional experience
strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with others
luxury hospitality interior design experience preferred
Job responsibilities:
space planning and conceptual design skills
development of layouts for typical rooms/space types
development of material palettes
graphic and material presentations for in-house and client meetings
construction documentation and coordination
programming with user groups for FF&E
furniture budgets and specifications, bid packages
knowledge of furniture systems and materials
must be able to work on multiple projects at one time
