The Role
This internship is an exciting opportunity for a soon-to-be or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in event planning, corporate communications, and employee engagement. As an Events and Communication Intern, you'll work closely with our team to support internal and external events, craft compelling content, and contribute to creative campaigns that enhance our company culture and brand presence.
Work You'll Do
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement and corporate events, including logistics, communications, and on-site support
- Draft and edit content for internal Intranet, newsletters, social media, and event promotions
- Support the coordination of virtual team meetings and networking events
- Develop engaging multimedia content (graphics, videos, etc.) for communication initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with different teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree completed or expected by May 2025
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail
- Interest in event planning, employee engagement, and corporate communications
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and learn
- Direct vendor interaction, including likely travel to vendor location and other in-person events
- Based in Chicago, IL, and flexible to work from our Chicago office as needed
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with social media platforms, content creation, and basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite)
- Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or Hospitality
- Prior marketing-related internship experience, especially in professional services
Compensation
The estimated pay for this position is $20 - 25 / hr. Please note that this is a guideline and individual total compensation may vary due to numerous factors including but not limited to experience level, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
