Job Type Full-time Description Haddad is a privately held family business with 100 years' experience in the children's apparel & accessories industry. Supported by a team of professionals skilled in design, sourcing, production, sales, marketing & distribution of premium quality children's wear, Haddad distributes globally to 100+ countries and maintains sales and sourcing offices in 22 cities globally, including New York, Paris, Hilversum, Shanghai, Egypt, Bangkok, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, London and Montreal Overview: The Senior Designer will work cross functionally with Graphic Design, Sales and Merchandising to oversee multiple design areas while facilitating the design and merchandising of apparel lines. Key Accountabilities: Shop the market to research and identify current trends and present competitive data as it is related to their prospective area of responsibility to establish key objectives for the brand Ensure accuracy of tech packs and design catalog Manage the overall design process to ensure that the design team is successfully meeting business needs according to the design time and action calendar Manage and oversee the overall design process to ensure that lines are meeting the style plans, sales needs and emerging trends Present concept and vision in licensor and sales meetings Work closely with Sales and Merchandising teams to conceptualize and launch clothing lines for several levels of distribution Supervise and lend feedback regarding sampling communication between sample room, Design, and cross-functional teams as needed Recruit top talent, train and develop team members Oversee Fashion Show concepting, styling and go-sees Supervise design staff and provide direction and management throughout the design process Special projects as assigned Requirements Required Skills/Abilities/Education: Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design 8+ years of experience in the fashion industry (children's wear knowledge a plus) Ability to travel as needed Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail Ability to lead and develop a team of designers at all levels Brand appropriate aesthetic Consistent in-office presence is vital to the role as it is for all Haddad Brands team members, so that we all have a full appreciation, aesthetically and tactilely, of the qualities that define our brand partners' products and set them apart from their competitors. Salary Description $75,000 - $125,000
