Selby Jennings is currently engaged with a Merchant Banking Boutique focused on video games and supporting technology on a search for a Senior Analyst. This boutique is comprised of sharp indiviuals with Senior backgrounds spanning C-Suite for a top video game corporation, private equity, and developer studios.
This team is searching for an Investment Banking Senior Analyst (1-2 years of experience), to join their active deal team focusing on M&A transactions. Ideal candidates have with familiarity in video game/tech investment banking, and are current/recent Investment Banking Analyst in or open to relocating to San Francisco.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial modeling, valuation, and analysis of video game companies and technology assets.
- Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, potential acquisition targets, and competitive landscape within the video game industry.
- Transaction Support: Assist in the preparation of pitch books, deal presentations, and other client deliverables.
- Due Diligence: Support due diligence processes, including reviewing financial statements, conducting industry analysis, and assessing strategic fit.
- Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings and calls, providing insights and updates on transaction progress.
- Project Management: Coordinate with various internal teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects and deliverables.
- Industry Expertise: Stay updated on the latest developments in the video game technology sector, including major M&A deals, emerging technologies, and market dynamics.
Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of Investment Banking experience (ideally in Video Game/Technology M&A)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Passion for the video game industry and technology.
