Come and join our team! We are a growing private medical practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases. We are looking for individuals interested in building a career in healthcare, working with nationally recognized physicians. We provide on-the-job training to help you grow and advance your skills while gaining innovative knowledge. Established in 1977, we have locations across Northern California including Sacramento, Grass Valley, Roseville, Stockton, Modesto, Merced, Fairfield, Elk Grove, Folsom, Yuba City, and Chico. Our physicians are nationally known, and we stay at the forefront of retina care by utilizing the latest equipment and participating in clinical trials to advance treatment options. Join over 250 team members in our fast-paced, high-volume retina specialty practice. We seek a full-time Ophthalmic Photographer to support our team. While independent work is required, you will collaborate closely with physicians, patients, and staff. Travel to other locations, including weekly travel to Grass Valley, is required. Mileage is reimbursed, and additional travel time is paid. Responsibilities:
Greet patients by name and verify their date of birth. Review physician orders and take appropriate photos. Ensure patients have no allergies to fluorescein or ICG dye before procedures. Understand diagnoses to determine necessary photos. Interpret OCT, FA, and other imaging results; document findings in EHR. Take all photos ordered by physicians, including color photos, iris photos/FA, and montage photos as needed. Explain procedures to patients and address questions before fluorescein injections and photography. Verify that all patient consent forms for fluorescein are current (no older than 12 months). Answer patient questions and ensure a clean, sterile work environment. Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance at the workstation. Follow emergency protocols as trained.
