Company Description
VachSoch LLC is a Bilingual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Culture, Mathematics ) Storytelling, Language Learning, and Consulting Service company in Rochester, New York. It collaborates with academic institutions, schools, and libraries to offer bilingual (Hindi and English) workshops, language clubs, classes, book readings, and StoryWorld creation for children aged 3-10 years. It also provides Hindi language and Indian Culture-related consultancy and content to creative artists and Theatre productions.
Role Description
A 3-month contract position for a Children’s Book Designer and Content Illustrator at VachSoch LLC, located in the Rochester, New York Metropolitan Area. The role involves designing book layouts, creating cover art, illustrating two-story books, and developing graphics and typography for children's books.
Qualifications
- Typesetting and Book Design skills
- Cover Art and Graphics design abilities
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software
- Experience in children's book illustration
- Attention to detail and creativity
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or related field
- Understanding of Indian Culture or Curiosity to explore Indian culture
- Knowledge of the Hindi language is a plus
