Overview
At General Matter, we're strengthening America's capacity in nuclear energy to create a new set of possibilities, from generating clean energy at scale to forging energy security. With nuclear energy powering the next wave of American progress, we're ensuring our country has the fuel it needs for the next generation of reactors, no matter what's happening around the world. We are backed by top tier investors. Our lean, world-class team of engineers and operators is applying a first-principles approach to solving the problem of nuclear fuel production. We are a mission-driven company with a culture of urgency, accountability and transparency.
About This Role
We are seeking a skilled Automation & Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of automation and control systems for our nuclear fuel production facility. You will work closely with a fast-paced, agile team of engineers and operators to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment, contributing to safe and efficient engineering solutions in advanced energy production. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a foundational understanding of engineering principles and a willingness to learn and grow within the field.
We are seeking an Architect Design Lead experienced in the design and construction of critical facilities to become a leader in our Construction team. We are building a one-of-a-kind facility that will be the foundation of our operations. Building and operating a reliable facility designed for material and people flow efficiency and phased growth is essential to becoming a world leader in a critical supply chain. In addition to our main production facility, we have several other related and interesting design and construction projects to keep a small, talented team engaged and challenged. The Construction team collaborates with all parts of our business to ensure engineering and design incorporate considerations from micro-levels (machine and systems design requirements) to macro-levels (site layout and materials flows and power supply and distribution options) to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability of our critical infrastructure. The internal Construction team will need to collaborate both with all internal stakeholders as well as external consultants and contractors that we bring on to execute these large infrastructure projects. This position is full-time, on-site in LA.

- Collaborate with other technical disciplines as required to ensure fully functioning, integrated systems.
