Junior PR Executive at an expanding automotive agency
Remote working with regular travel to the UK Midlands
PitBox91 is seeking an ambitious Junior PR Executive with a passion for all things automotive to join our growing automotive communications agency team. This role would suit a PR or Media Relations Assistant with at least a year’s experience of working with automotive media. This is not a pure motorsport role. The typical scope of work is 30% motorsport focused and the remainder of the activity is covering general automotive technology.

PitBox91 is an automotive communications agency working with multinational clients, delivering high-quality, results-driven PR, social media and event management services. We handle projects for clients ranging from small start-ups to large international brands, working with cars, commercial vehicles and motorcycles. We love vehicles, and our passion is central to the services we provide to our clients.
Primary responsibilities
- Plan and create content for PR campaigns, news releases and client presentations drawing on automotive knowledge and an understanding of clients’ needs and audiences.
- Write press releases to a very high standard and in a timely manner for time-sensitive content.
- Monitor and evaluate press coverage and other KPIs to produce reports.
- Achieve earned press coverage, successfully pitching appropriate stories to journalists through a strong understanding of the media landscape.
- Assist with managing PR events including administration duties.
- Learn from a talented and collaborative team and assist colleagues in delivering client excellence.
- Have the ability to make a progression to Senior Account Executive within two years.
Requirements
- Be an excellent writer, able to write captivating copy to a journalistic standard for B2B and B2C audiences.
- Have the confidence to pick up the phone and persuade journalists that the story is worthy of publication.
- Show an understanding of trends in the automotive industry, media and digital PR worlds.
- Be knowledgeable about all vehicle sectors, including motorcycles, cars, trucks and the future of mobility.
- Be a team player, reporting to colleagues, creative partners and clients.
- Be versatile and flexible. Tasks will vary, hours are flexible, and the successful applicant will be expected to work weekends.
- Be based in the United Kingdom. The role is home-based, but travel to regular team meetings in the Midlands area, client meetings and events is necessary. The successful applicant should have their own vehicle and a full driving licence.
- Social media experience is an advantage, but is not a core part of this particular role.

A salary of £23,000 plus a bonus linked to client and agency KPIs.
