ROLE PURPOSE
The Content Management Specialist is detail-oriented and responsible for overseeing the content and document management system(s), governance, and related processes for the scientific and technical community. This role ensures that all critical content and documents are efficiently captured, securely stored, meticulously maintained, and readily accessible to our scientific and technical teams. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our valuable information assets, supporting our teams in their innovative and
technical endeavors.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and regularly improve strategies and processes for the effective identification and management of scientific technical documents and content to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Collaborate with business experts and stakeholders to identify content needs and to ensure alignment and support for content management initiatives.
- Embed content management processes in technical community processes to ensure content is captured and used in the flow of everyday work.
- Develop and enforce governance policies, standards, and taxonomy to maintain the integrity and security of technical content.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., S&I Data Strategy, ISIT, Legal) to implement and maintain new content management systems, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- Ensure that all technical content and documents are stored securely, yet easily accessible to authorized users.
- Report and analyze content management system usage metrics, and user satisfaction to make data driven decisions on needed enhancements and process related improvements.
- Ensure strong user awareness and engagement with content management tools and processes through strong communication, training, and support.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Science, Library Science, Knowledge Management, Information Technology).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in document management, preferably within a scientific or technical environment.
- Proficiency in MS SharePoint, content management systems and document management tools.
- Strong understanding of content management governance, processes, and workflow development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Tate & Lyle complies with all local/state regulations requiring salary range transparency.
When determining final compensation, we take into consideration: skillset, job scope, knowledge, prior experience, cost of living, market data, budget availability, and other factors as permitted by law.
The salary range for this position is: $69,000 - 101,000.
