Job Description
Penicillin changed medicine. The Beatles changed music. And Veracity Insurance Solutions is changing insurance (listen, we can’t all be doctors and musicians). We’re growing fast, and we’re practically three companies in one: a direct-to-consumer insurance provider, a brokerage helping agents satisfy customers’ insurance needs, and a software firm helping agencies and states make complex tax filings simple.
We’re growing, and we want you to be a part of it. We are currently looking for an experienced UX/UI Web & Graphic Designer (Remote) to join our team.
Summary:
The UX/UI Web & Graphic Designer role is a mid-level design role responsible for creative problem solving, visual content creation, and execution of web, digital, and print assets.
This position will work with guidance from the Design Team Manager and Senior Designers to present design-driven ideas and to communicate user experience solutions.
Designers are expected to operate with common design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and web tools such as WordPress page builders like Elementor, marketing tools such as HubSpot, and other appropriate software required to complete common tasks.
This position will be asked to professionally receive and give critical feedback to other designers both on the group and individual levels. Designers may be asked to help produce and implement hotfixes, web pages, landing pages, email marketing, display advertisements, print material and physical displays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Iterating design and UX solutions site-wide while maintaining WCAG and ADA compliance
- Taking strategies and solutions from Design Manager or Senior Designers and executing them in live environments
- Review Jr. Designers’ published pages for mobile response and general QA
- Take coaching and constructive feedback from the Design Team Manager and other design team members
- With guidance from the Design Manager, describe and pitch creative concepts and solutions to stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Design Manager to develop personal goals in support of the larger team and department goals
- Build design aspects of customer applications within codeless apps

Ideal Background:

- The ability to assess and estimate time to completion on tasks and assets
- Understanding and ability to work within an Agile Sprint process
- The ability to professionally accept, implement, and give constructive criticism to improve the work of oneself and others
- Communication skills within the design team and among other adjacent professionals
- Digital file & layer organization skills, within design documents and asset storage for the facilitation of collaborative design work and file sharing
- Design and business vocabulary to express concepts, pitch ideas, and articulate intent of design decisions
Requirements and Qualifications:
- B.A. or equivalent in an art/design with at least 1 year of post-graduation design experience in the areas of graphic design, web design, or UX/UI OR at least 3 years of experience in graphic design, web design, or UX/UI if no BA or equivalent in art/design has been earned.
- Experience working with design and publishing tools and software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and WYSIWYG web builders, WordPress, Elementor, and HubSpot
