Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Project Interior Designer to join our team. As a Project Interior Designer, you will lead and manage the project's design team from inception to completion. You will collaborate with the Studio Principal, Project Manager, and Interior Designer to develop and implement the design intent. You will also oversee the design team, participate in client presentations, and produce complete, accurate, and well-coordinated documents. You will be responsible for managing numerous complex projects simultaneously, interfacing with clients, and leading, teaching, and empowering less experienced staff.
Hard Skills
Registered Interior Designer, holding an NCIDQ certification (preferred)
Graduate of an accredited Interior Design program with a Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Commercial Interior Design setting
High-level knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign
Strong understanding of building systems and codes
Soft Skills
Creative and collaborative
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team atmosphere
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong organizational and document coordination skills
Ability to make Design and documentation decisions requiring discretion
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Atlanta, Georgia and some days remote.
Work Environment
Our work environment is a blend of a large firm support with 'Mini firm-like studios' vibes. We have a strong, close-knit, in-sync team that values collaboration and mutual support. The position offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home (initially, more time will be spent in the office to get to know the team, projects, and clients). Our office is located in Peachtree Tower downtown with a great skyline view and a large open floor plan. Although the majority of time is spent in a sitting position, the ability to move throughout the office or participate in site visits is required. Travel to job sites or meetings may also be required.
