Kia Design Center America located in California is currently looking for a [ Senior User Experience Designer ] that will: Create high-quality, user experience concepts for conceptual visions as well as production designs Strong ability to visually communicate design proposals in form of Storytelling and contextual Design Create UX concepts through wire framing and story boarding Have an excellent understanding of the status quo of User experience in the Automotive Industry, in the smart phone industry and other relevant industries that share boundaries with the automotive environment and are leading the digital user experience process Experience in prototyping concepts Have a scrappy and entrepreneurial approach to prototyping concepts and proposals Perform user testing on prototyped concepts Demonstrate the ability to lead design projects from start to finish, under time management and resource constraints Research and analyze trends in the UX design world Travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally Be able to attend auto shows and other design-related events Willingness to travel international, primarily to South Korea Be able to work self-sufficiently, while mentoring less experienced designers Oversee the development of user Experience projects and proceed to streamline work flows Work closely with Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Design Team to discuss design criteria. Incorporate the criteria to meet engineering and manufacturing requirements. Produce presentation-ready materials to support design reviews Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and constantly pushing for improving delivery standards Drive discussions around technical solutions, with the goal to improve our capabilities and overcome limitations Basic Qualifications: BS, BFA, MS, MFA or Diploma in Graphic Design, Human-computer interaction, Computer science or Design Minimum 8+ years of professional design experience at an Automotive, Software or digital products company Strong ability to utilize various types of digital tools (Figma, Sketch, Framer, Adobe XD, Miro board or comparable software tools) Prototyping and user testing Experience with advanced technology components (screens, input devices and modalities) Experience in App development is a plus Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record Candidates applying for positions with Hyundai Kia must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
