SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises assigned employees including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;Or two (2) years related experience and/or training;Or equivalent combination of education and experience.Previous supervisory and design experience required.Level 3 design certification required.
COMPETENCIESKnowledge of wood frame construction.Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.Strong knowledge of selling within building industry to maximize profit margins,Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program
