Description
The Director of Marketing and Communication leads the prospecting, sales, and onboarding/connection activities, contributing to the overall success of the club and community by:
- Meeting or exceeding stated sales, revenue, and retention goals
- Leading and directing the marketing, membership, and communications team and overall strategy
- Consistently interacting with members, prospects, coworkers and management with a positive attitude and focus on a culture of hospitality, leadership and mutual respect.
Compensation range BOE: $70,000- $75,000
Essential Duties:
- Develop and execute marketing tactics and strategy that enhances the awareness of The Naperville Country Club brand and communicates the story and ongoing execution of the overall community membership marketing and sales plan, working collaboratively with onsite club management and Troon corporate team.
- Drive the content development and facilitate production of all membership-related materials, including but not limited to prospecting, sales, and member communications; website; social media channels; membership sales kit; and documents associated with onboarding.
- Conduct marketing activities as designated in master marketing and sales plan, such as community networking, Realtor relations, and presence/participation in member events.
- Seamlessly integrate with Club leadership team, Troon Corporate team; effectively report, track and communicate results & data; implement and manage a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and Membership Prospect/Sales Report, and demonstrate this through an exceptional understanding of these tools and weekly delivery of statistics related to leads (quantity and source), prospect pipeline (sorted by rank), sales (paced by budget forecast) – as well as communicating feedback from prospects who decline to join, and results specific to marketing initiatives.
- Lead and implement a sales journey that gracefully connects potential members to The Naperville Country Club, and connects new members to the “Naperville Country Club Life”.
- Oversee all membership paperwork related to sales/upgrades/downgrades and resignations:
- Create the incoming new member file and ensure the accurate completion of designated documentation.
- Accountable for ongoing maintenance of all member files, accurately recording pertinent activity and paperwork.
- Ensure that member files are stored in a secure location.
- Lead the content, production/packaging, and delivery of a thorough and accurate onboarding of every new member, ensuring that:
- The entire process follows a structured plan
- The materials are professionally presented
- The orientation agenda includes key department leads
- The member gains an understanding of every element of the club, how to use it, and who the individual department leads are.
- Lead the marketing efforts outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan & Naperville CC Action Item Document such as paid digital efforts, new homeowner outreach initiatives, realtor relations, etc.
- Manage Naperville CC social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) and ensure delivery of consistent, high quality and engaging content; reflective of the Naperville CC brand.
- Develop a communication plan that outlines all Club communications from emails to newsletters.
- Design and execute a monthly Club newsletter that features content from each department.
- Engage with the Naperville CC website platform in the following capacities:
- Update calendars, events, menus, hours of operation, event albums etc.
- Coordinate, edit, and send email communications on behalf of Club Departments, Boards and Committees.
- Coordinate content collection and lead point on the website functionality and performance.
- Contribute to the overall success of the club and community by consistently interacting with members, coworkers, and management with a positive attitude and focus on culture of hospitality, leadership and mutual respect.
- Be a supportive team player who actively contributes in staff meetings and effectively communicates information that helps all associates increase their understanding of membership goals, changes to policies and procedures, activities/process related to member activities, satisfaction and retention.
The most suitable individual selected for this role will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or Hospitality Management;
- At least 5 years of Sales and Marketing experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written, - a requirement for this highly interactive and engaging position
- Must be highly computer efficient, capable, and comfortable with using multiple graphic computer programs and styles.
- Creative with an eye for design
- Strong organizational skills: time management, attention to detail, ability to self-start
- Able to multi-task and produce high-quality results with strict deadlines
- Team player: ability to work cooperatively with other departments, committees and Board to attain club goals.
- Proficient on social media platforms; experience with ad creation is preferred
- Familiarity with Jonas system software is preferred
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
