Overview
The Studio Manager is the primary influence in building this community. You are a part of every area of the studio including community, classes, retail, and operations. Your goal is to identify and bring in new students while keeping our current students coming back for more. Duties and responsibilities include:
Schedule: Regular Studio Manager hours are Monday - Thursday. Hours vary pending the needs of studio and market (roughly 9 - 6/6:30). There are occasional evenings and weekends that come with events outside of studio hours and these will be planned in advance. To ensure weekends off and time away from the studio to disconnect, we have also added an on-call rotation. This ensures you can disconnect from the studio and if anything comes up over the weekend. The Manager on-call should plan to be available to support the studios and teachers to find a solution or be the solution if an emergency arises. We will continue to reevaluate your schedule to ensure it supports studio operations and works for you. Details will be finalized prior to your start date.
Community and Relationship Development
Provide an excellent student experience at the studio with a focus on customer care and satisfaction. Inspire a studio culture that is welcoming and uplifting to all students and instructors.Maintain Power Life standards with the highest level of cleanliness, environment, and functionality of studio space and facility.Maintain an appropriate level of studio supplies so that all resources and amenities are always available for students and instructors.Communicate with your team, instructors, and students with kindness and through personal interaction.Perform as a leader both inside and outside of the studio. Promote understanding and enthusiasm about Power Life and health and wellness in the community.Build the Power Life Community by facilitating and supporting events, specialty classes, workshops, and continued education opportunities with support and guidance from Programs Team and General Manager.Maintain a close eye on community, culture, and quality.Revenue Growth and Profitability
Responsible for continued revenue growth and profitability of the Studio.Understand and monitor key business indicators that drive revenue while creating and implementing tactical plans to meet revenue goals.Plan and execute strategies that consistently bring students into the studio.Play a critical role in Teacher Training(s): Identify and develop new instructors, promote training, and enroll trainees.Employ sound economic judgment when making spending decisions.Personnel Development
Supervise, review, and coach teachers to develop a high level of instruction through productive communication and consistent feedback.Maintain strong time management skills to strategically prioritize the day-to-day operations of the studio and adapt to daily business needs in the moment.Align with and facilitate Power Life's values, teaching methods and fundamentals to promote personnel development and enhance the student experience.Teach 5+ classes.Hire, develop, and manage Trade Staff to assist with day-to-day operations.Administrative
Review, analyze, and complete requested reports and offer insight and solutions for actionable items from reports.Maintain all schedules, accounts, and information in Mind Body Online. Ensure accurate and complete client records, financial data, and retail inventory.Troubleshoot issues as they arise at your studio (HVAC, plumbing, Sonos, technology) and work with your General Manager on a solution or course of action.Manage the risk associated with operating a business and seek ways to minimize these.Plan and execute special eventsRemain mindful of activities and operations of the business to align and comply with all Company guidelines.Listed Duties
Create connection through community.All MBO updates.Develop and manage the student experience.Garden walk, student check-in process, retail and membership sales process, front desk organization process, etc.Teacher management and development.Trade staff management and development.Check and return voicemails daily.Order studio and cleaning supplies and any other items as needed through Amazon.Help create/update/print fliers.Actively participate in enrollment for all trainingsManage inventory and supplies.An average of feedback up to 4 classes/monthRaise any issues or questions with the General Manager.Support retail process as needed.Support and help create the studio class schedule.Teach Scheduled Classes. Note your Scheduled Class may change based upon the demands of the studio.Other items as necessary and directed by your manager.
