Job Summary: The Audio Visual Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio and visual equipment for meetings, conferences, and events within the organization. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve AV issues promptly.

Responsibilities:

Setup and Operation:

• Set up, test, and operate audio-visual equipment including projectors, microphones, video monitors, and sound systems for meetings and events.
• Ensure all AV equipment is functioning properly before events and provide on-site support during events to address any technical issues.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV equipment promptly to minimize downtime.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with event coordinators, IT staff, and other departments to understand AV requirements and provide technical support.
• Assist in the planning and execution of AV setups for large-scale events and conferences.

Documentation and Inventory:

• Maintain accurate records of AV equipment inventory, including tracking usage and scheduling maintenance.
• Document AV setups and configurations for future reference and training purposes.

Training and Development:

• Provide training and support to staff on the proper use of AV equipment.
• Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and upgrades.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in audio-visual technology or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in audio-visual setup, operation, and maintenance, preferably in a corporate or enterprise environment.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in operating a variety of AV equipment including projectors, sound systems, video conferencing tools, and control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy AV equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
