Supported by a team of professionals skilled in design, sourcing, production, sales, marketing & distribution of premium quality children's wear, Haddad distributes globally to 100+ countries and maintains sales and sourcing offices in 22 cities globally, including New York, Paris, Hilversum, Shanghai, Egypt, Bangkok, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, London and Montreal.Overview:The Associate Package Designer will support the daily activities of the packaging department to ensure accurate and timely production of packaging materials. Key Accountabilities:Conduct market research to support trend finds and new concepts and create a recap of findingsUnderstand and support the print production process from start to finish and partner to suggest improvements for better efficienciesAssist in the design and development of cost effective, innovative, and consumer friendly hang tags and structural designsUpdate artwork, copy, and corresponding files according to both written and verbal feedback from stakeholdersTroubleshoot and communicate issues pertaining to vendor approvals and/or production changesUpdate art and production filesWork directly with vendors to execute new developments and pricingPartner to approve digital and physical submits from vendors inclusive of color, substrate quality, and finishesReview and communicate any issues with the packaging sample schedule to ensure deadlines are being met and elevate concerns in order to brainstorm possible solutionsPartner in creating on-brand solutions for each project to help maintain brand integrity while supporting execution efficiencies where applicable across the total categoryCreate, update, and maintain development tracking charts, packaging brief submits and quality standards libraryCommunicate submit (sample & production) comments between the Packaging team and appropriate cross-functional teams Meet all deadlines in adherence to the seasonal design calendarSpecial projects as assigned RequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities/Education:Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts or related field2+ years of experience in the fashion industry (children's wear knowledge a plus)Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially in Adobe IllustratorExcellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detailWork independently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentIllustration skills a plusConsistent in-office presence is vital to the role as it is for all Haddad Brands team members, so that we all have a full appreciation, aesthetically and tactilely, of the qualities that define our brand partners' products and set them apart from their competitors. Salary Description $55,000 - $65,000 yearly
