Graphic Designer - Property Marketing (Part Time), Boston Corporate Office - Boston, MA
General Statement of Duties: The Graphic Designer – Property Marketing’s primary responsibility is to work with key stakeholders to produce branded materials in support of company initiatives. This part-time position will include ancillary support for all Beacon’s groups with graphic design needs. This position will require a strong understanding of senior leadership’s vision for the company to create coherent visual representations for the corporate office and all Beacon properties, and excellent communication and project management skills. This role is structured as a Job Share with the Graphic & Web Designer, at 24 hours/week.
Supervision Received: Reports to Director of Digital Marketing
Preference is 24 hours during 3 business days.
Essential Functions of the Position: (Any one position may not include all the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all that may be found in positions of this class.)
- Collaborate on corporate graphic design requests and overall marketing support.
- Ensure consistent corporate brand standards are used in presentations, proposals, sponsorship ads, stationery, case studies, award submissions, training manuals, and other materials.
- Maintain graphic standards and guidelines for all employees to follow while ensuring consistency and quality control of branded materials.
- Create and maintain user-friendly templates to standardize and streamline collateral and presentations, using Canva and other resources.
- Create and modify corporate social media graphics, as needed.
- Develop and manage brand extension standards/campaigns (Smoke-Free, BeSocial, BeWell, uniforms, etc.).
- Annual Report: Collaborate as needed with t collecting and compiling data for report and coordinating final product, working with internal stakeholders and agency partner(s).
- Collaborate as needed with the design of new property websites and upkeep of current sites.
- Conduct corporate and portfolio-wide photography audits and maintain “Select” photo folders on shared drive.
- Organize and maintain a digital creative archive with all logos, letterhead, floor plans, photos, etc.
- Participation in planning/strategy meetings.
- Develop and manage schedules for corporate creative initiatives, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide design support with signage projects as needed.
- Collaborate on the design and layout of the monthly Communication Promise.
- Provide graphic design support for the creation and ongoing maintenance of the Intranet and corresponding content.
- Collaborate as needed on collateral for Ribbon Cuttings, Groundbreakings, Sponsorship Ads, Logo Creation/Edits, Photo Editing, and property websites.
- Collaborate as needed on any property marketing initiatives.
Qualifications, Abilities And Skills
- Extensive experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), specifically with layouts/mockups, web design, and multimedia presentations.
- Adaptive design eye and skill.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to absorb constructive criticism from peers and clients.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
