Lead Concept Artist
to help shape the visual universe of Halo. The role involves collaborating with the Art Director and development teams to create compelling imagery that communicates the visual target and experience of the game. Candidates should possess strong skills in composition, color, character, environment, and graphic design, with a passion for science fiction aesthetics and practical content creation experience. The successful candidate will provide art direction, work with Unreal and other concept art tools, and contribute to the growth of the Halo universe. The position offers flexible work arrangements, including up to two days remote work per week. Responsibilities include: Defining the look of the project in collaboration with the Art Director and concept team. Understanding the game universe and technological constraints. Setting design goals and ensuring cohesive, high-quality visuals across platforms. Creating and reviewing concept art, illustrations, and key visuals. Providing feedback and mentorship to team members and external partners. Participating in cross-disciplinary creative discussions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or certificate in a related art field and 4+ years of experience in game or entertainment art. 2+ years of people management experience. Proficiency in anatomy, design fundamentals, and experience with Unreal or similar engines. Additional requirements: Ability to pass Microsoft security screenings. Preferred qualifications: Over 5 years of industry experience, with at least 2 AAA titles shipped. Proficiency in software such as Photoshop, Blender, Unreal Engine, Maya, Substance, Zbrush, Houdini, After Effects. Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback. The base pay range in the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year, with higher ranges in specific locations. Applications are accepted until June 4, 2025.
