Position Purpose: Responsible for overseeing production support within the Creative Services department, ensuring high-quality output and seamless execution of both print and digital projects. This role combines leadership, design production, and technical expertise in managing a team, troubleshooting layout issues, and driving efficient workflows from concept to completion. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the daily operations of the production department. Lead and manage a team of designers, editors, and content creators to ensure production timelines and quality standards are met. Execute InDesign layout corrections based on instructions from the Editorial, Copy Editing, and Design teams. Advance print and digital projects through the production workflow. Troubleshoot issues with design layouts. Digitally manipulate high-resolution artwork and photographic files to optimize reproduction, making alterations to fit the layout design, including image extension, silhouetting, color correction, and file format conversions as needed. Perform quality assessments on final page files for accuracy in both content and execution. Create PDF files from InDesign documents. Transmit PDF files to various print facilities. Migrate and archive files to various servers. Organize server files. Job Requirements/Skills and Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in graphic production for publications. Over 3 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, InCopy, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Advanced proficiency with macOS. Strong understanding of printing processes. Comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently. Ability to work in a team setting and willingness to share knowledge with colleagues. Keen interest in instructional technology and digital media. Ability to learn new software and adapt to new processes. Seniority level
