Rich Media Digital Interactive Designer/Producer
Company is looking for a creative multimedia digital designer/developer with experience using eLearning authoring tools including Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other emerging tools to create and assemble linear and interactive multimedia programs.
The Interactive Producer is responsible for but not limited to:
Create and assemble high-end graphic, motion, and multimedia elements for training, communication, and reference primarily using Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Suite.
Function as an Interface Designer by defining experience and interface design including flow, navigation, media mix, instructions, globals, layout, functionality, timed sequences and activities.
Function as an Interactive Producer by following content, visual, and experience design documents, and scripts to assemble and publish the final program.
Understand and apply user-focused interface design principles with a high degree of craftsmanship during production.
Give and take creative design direction and follow color, style, size, and placement guidelines specified during the initial design stage and then apply that visual/motion design to all elements.
Use a functional template master or create new complex routines from scratch as needed.
Manipulate all multimedia asset types (text, graphics, motion, audio, video, animation) and understand compression and optimization techniques.
Work in a highly collaborative cross-functional environment with digital creative directors, art directors, instructional designers, writers, programmers, asset creators, and project managers.
May be required to articulate and present work or ideas to internal team members.
Follow established team processes, standards and best practices to ensure the highest degree of usability and consistency across all deliverables. May help define new standards.
Learn new design and production tools as required.
Central point person for "interactive" answers, guidelines, approvals, and solutions.
Foster and advance high-quality goals, including standards adherence, usability, performance, reliability, and testing.
Keep supervisor apprised of work status by communicating progress, availability, and issues.
Requires someone who is intuitive; with strong communication, organization and time management skills; can prioritize multiple projects and concurrent tasks; can troubleshoot and provide value-added ideas/solutions; is extremely detail-oriented; has a passion for quality and continuous improvement; works well in a team; is self-motivated and maintains a positive attitude.
Requirements:
3 years or more of web design and production
BA degree required
Solid knowledge of Articulate 360 Suite (experience with other e-learning authoring tools is a plus)
Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
Solid knowledge with MS Office
Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and web development technologies
Solid knowledge of UX and UI design methods, best practices, and tools
Basic knowledge of coding languages and methodologies
Basic knowledge using AI outside or embedded into design and production multimedia tools
Experience with mobile technologies a plus
Understanding of the training and automotive industry is a plus.
This position is currently remote, but you may be asked to come into the office occasionally. So, to be considered, you must live near Auburn Hills, MI. We will want to review your previous work, preferably through an online portfolio, to better understand your skills in multimedia design, layout, and production.
