Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Lead Product - UI/UX Designer for our client. This is a permanent position that is remote to start with later relocation to Winnipeg. Our client is a global enterprise company with a product that you've likely used.
You Will:
- Lead the design strategy for multiple teams/departments
- Work with key stakeholders to identify and analyze opportunities to improve our products
- Ensure a healthy pipeline of mid-longer term initiatives that will help drive future innovation
- Work effectively in an agile environment to deliver product increments and ensure that requirements are met. Measure and monitor design quality after releases.
- Participate in the design leadership community to help drive best practices across the design community
- Participate in the recruitment within the design discipline.
- Coach and mentor designers.
You Have:
- Minimum 5+ years in a senior or design/UX leadership position
- Experience mentoring and coaching designers in design practices
- Experience with line management of 1-2 designers
- Experience delivering a design vision or strategy which has shaped the roadmap of multiple teams
- Experience creating high-quality UX&D work across large-scale projects
- Understanding of the business value we are solving for our users
- Experience making user-led decisions, and is comfortable working with user insights e.g. from user research or quantitative insights, data, ethnography.
- Experience setting clear goals, deadlines, and key milestones for design discovery, and tracking progress against these successfully.
