Lead Instructional Designer , you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining curricula and programs used to train employees in a variety of functions. You’ll conduct needs assessments, select instructional models, and design instructional content. You’ll curate content and teach experts how to generate and share content. You’ll also ensure that instructional programs are effectively implemented. This role requires at least 7 years of design or development experience. It’s a career that develops as you do, with opportunities to grow. WHAT OUR LEAD INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNERS ENJOY MOST Conducting reviews of training materials to ensure learning objectives are met Maintaining accurate status of projects, milestones, and tasks in the team project tracking tool Diagnosing risks to design projects to appropriate L&D leaders and stakeholders Designing and developing comprehensive learning solutions, incorporating multiple deliverables, to meet business and performance objectives Achieving and modeling team quality standards in all aspects of learning design Serving as a mentor and/or knowledge resource to less experienced designers Creating training that is consistently innovative, highly engaging, and utilizes the most advanced techniques and technology available You’ll act as our curriculum design subject matter expert. You’ll provide feedback to other curriculum developers and training delivery instructors; seldom are two days the same. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM Required Qualifications Experience:
Instructional Design and development experience 7+ years. Project management, leadership experience 3+ years Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Adult Learning or equivalent experience Technical skills:
Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Skilled in multimedia curriculum development, as well as graphic design, video editing, and animation Skills:
Critical thinking and analytical skills Abilities:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Can evaluate the viability of new technologies, tools, and platforms for use in the company. Can drive adoption of new learning technologies and platforms. Can train and advise internal and external partners on the use and selection of design tools, deliverable options, graphic design, and delivery platforms.
