Overview
Agile RF Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to lead innovative active electronically steered antenna design projects. This individual will play a pivotal role in the research, development, and testing of advanced antenna technologies for Department of Defense and Commercial/Civil Space applications. With expertise in phased array-based radar systems, satellite communication phased arrays, and large space deployable antennas, this position requires a highly skilled RF engineer with extensive experience in antenna design and RF system analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Antenna Design and Simulation:
- Lead full wave modeling and simulation using CST or similar tools.
- Develop and analyze small and large antenna array radiators.
- Design multilayer printed circuit board RF transitions to optimize performance.
Testing and Data Analysis:
- Conduct Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) testing to validate antenna designs.
- Perform antenna testing using far-field and near-field methods.
- Post-process test data to evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.
Technical Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
System-Level Analysis and Integration:
- Conduct system-level analysis and testing of radar and communication systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate RF components into larger systems.
Qualifications:
- MUST BE A US CITIZEN.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in RF engineering, antenna design, or a related field.
- Expertise in full-wave electromagnetic simulation tools.
- Strong proficiency in Matlab, Python, or C for RF system analysis and simulation.
- Familiarity with PCB layout and multilayer RF transitions.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and as a self-starter.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with robotic near-field range antenna testing.
- Familiarity with radomes and radar cross-section measurements.
- Knowledge of satellite communication systems and space deployable antennas.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time, office-based position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some travel may be required for project meetings, testing, or customer support.
