We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, and hard-working individual who successfully works in a team environment to provide exceptional service to the Department of Justice, Law Library Services.
Responsibilities include the day-to-day operation of the San Francisco library, overseeing acquisitions, serials control, and library maintenance. This involves updating, reviewing, and maintaining catalog databases, check-in and processing, loose-leaf filing, stack maintenance, and evaluating library holdings and obsolete materials. The role also involves providing reference and research assistance to the San Francisco Attorney General’s staff and legal staff statewide, utilizing traditional and digital research tools such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, Courtlink, Intranet/Internet, and other digital technologies. Additionally, the librarian responds to interlibrary loan and document delivery requests, assists with legislative history compilation, and provides research orientation and training for new legal staff and interns.
