Job DescriptionLiaison 20%Serves as a liaison between South Carolina Educational Television (SC ETV) and PICO for all made-for-television programs.Prepares/packages the PICO educational, made-for-television program materials germane to health topics, renewable energy, and post traumatic syndrome that are televised nationally/globally via PBS, its affiliates, and NETA, which educate millions of residents.Partners with ETV personnel, occasionally helping to recruit a moderator and panelists, gathering, and producing material for use on the day of the program, recruiting an active and engaged studio audience, and ultimately assisting with a high-caliber program.Research 25%Conducts significant research of many health care and environmental topics.Assists with research and preparing abstracts, manuscripts, and research posters.Coordination 30%Helps plan and co-coordinate the Culturally Sensitive Care National Conference (CSCNC).Organizes conference Registration. Assists with confirming volunteers once approved by the Chair. Serves as a point of contact for the conference. Provides onsite support for conference to help ensure that the conference runs smoothly/seamlessly. Assists with confirming speakers/moderators.Prepares nametags and program booklets, and ensures that both are at workshops and conferences.Assists with travel reimbursements and travel reservations for faculty, staff, and panelists for PICO Programs.Provides weekly reports on status of the conference coordination.
Marketing 25%Prepares or assists with preparing briefings/content for the moderator and panelists. First, briefings will need to be approved by the MUSC-PICO Director, and briefings will need to be sent to the Moderator and Panelists two weeks before the evening of the made-for-television dialogue.Writes and/or edits programmatic materials for the national conferences/workshops/institutes, including the program's Foreword and Conference Summary Report. Assists with the marketing campaign related to Community Leaders Institutes, Technical Assistance Workshops, Youth Leadership Institutes, Listening Sessions, Made-for-Television Dialogues, and the Culturally Sensitive Care National Conference.Meets with the print shop/printing agency to ensure that the program booklets are printed and delivered to the conference.Advertises/markets this conference via an email listserv and social media.

Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and two years relevant program experience.
