The Role As the Interior Design intern, you will support a range of design projects for their hotels while reporting to the Director of Design. You will have the opportunity to learn on the job and gain a practical understanding of interior design within the hospitality industry. This role includes generic design support across the design team and will allow you to own and manage small projects and a special project over the course of the internship. What you'll do Library Cleanup Intern will be responsible for purging unused finishes and materials as they pertain to Wyndham brands. Intern may be requested to create a finish board which will be used for client presentations. Renderings in Sketchup 3D renderings of a lobby, guestroom, or corridor to show our latest interior design Create specifications for new Brand prototypes in Spexx program Intern will learn how to write an hospitality Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment specification for a guestroom or public space. Special Design Project – Intern will work on a lobby design for our Hawthorn Extended Stay brand or Midscale Brand and present to design team at conclusion of summer for design feedback. Design can be used in portfolio after internship. You'll be successful if you have 3D rendering, photoshop, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Would love to share our knowledge and experience with someone eager to learn the design business. Required Qualifications/Experience In school field of study Interior Design. Be enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school undergraduate or graduate degree program. Be an undergraduate Rising Senior or pursuing a graduate degree.
