Human Resources Generalist at Ross Nesbit Agencies

AGENCY PRODUCER

This position exists to produce new personal lines and commercial lines business along with life and health business. In addition, the producer is expected to service current customer’s needs. Must be licensed to sell P/C & A/H business in MN and WI.

A. Specific Responsibilities:

1. Solicit new business — in all lines of insurance offered by agency — market by phone, mail or in person.
2. Inspect property and operation to be insured prior to binding coverage.
3. Handle review and delivery of new and renewal commercial lines policies.
4. Answer phone in a professional and courteous manner.
5. Assist agency in the collection of past due accounts.
6. Answer questions of customers and process policy change requests.
7. Communicate with companies for the purpose of handling customer needs.
8. File documents in the appropriate files.
9. Collect money from customers and document receipt of it on the computer. Collect money from companies and document receipt of it in receipt book. Any check made payable to agency should be stamped for deposit only.
10. File claim reports on behalf of customers and place them in suspense file.
11. When necessary meet with insured to inspect claim damage.

6. Follow the rules and policies of the agency and the companies we represent.

8. Advise manager of any difficult customer situations.

C. Required Skills:

1. Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written).
2. Good typing skills.
3. Good mathematic skills.
4. Ability to operate office equipment (fax, copier, printer, computer).

Hours and Compensation:

• Salary based on experience.
• 40 hours per week M – F.
