Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) is a private school serving Grades Pre-kindergarten through 12 in Brooklyn Park, MN. We are an influential school of collaborators, innovators, and explorers grounded in Christian faith, empowering co-creators of tomorrow. MCA has an opening for a part-time to full-time elementary library & literacy teacher in the lower school for the 2025-2026 school year.
Essential Duties (other duties may be assigned)
Prepares course objectives and lesson plans, following curriculum guidelines and any requirements or standards of the state and MCA Lectures, demonstrates, and uses audiovisual technology teaching aids to present subject matter to class Assigns lessons, homework, corrects papers, and hears oral presentations Prepares, administers, and corrects tests, and records results Maintains order inside the classroom and other spaces on campus, as well as off-site school-sponsored activities Counsels students when academic and/or behavioral problems arise Communicate students' academic progress and behavior with parents Keeps attendance and grade records as required by MCA Personal & Professional Characteristics

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Education
Desired License: Minnesota state teaching license in K-8 Education
