JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Photographer is responsible for managing the overall photo studio and equipment including taking pictures of styled food and product photography as well as portrait photography of individuals or groups of people in any number of environments. Will shoot in many different light settings and artistically assist a food stylist to create an appetizing food photograph.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use digital cameras, along with a variety of professional photography equipment and techniques, to create artistic photographs of people and products in various settings.
- Expertly capture subjects or products in commercial-quality photographs, enhancing the subject’s appearance with natural or artificial light.
- Swiftly transition from portrait studio to architecture photography.
- Oversee budgeting, purchasing, and equipment.
- Use color analyzers, light systems, filters, and editing software to retouch files.
- Download raw photos and use photo-enhancing software.
- Organize and label photography so the internal team can access finished work.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in a related field.
- 3 years of demonstrated experience.
- Advanced knowledge of camera settings, photo equipment, graphics software, and lighting.
- Artistic ability and a creative nature to capture one-of-a-kind photographs that encourage an emotional response.
- Skilled in photo editing software.
- Ability to set up equipment for on-location photography in trade areas.
- Interpersonal skills to capture the best results when photographing people.
- Stay current on industry trends and technologies.
- Ability to work within tight timelines.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with a high attention to detail.
- Use of personal vehicle required for travel.
- Regular on-site attendance.
