LTU plays a crucial role in providing essential transit, transportation, and utility services that keep Lincoln moving and thriving, year-round. In this influential role, the Assistant Director will work closely with the LTU Director to organize, direct, and support the strategic initiatives and daily operations of our water, wastewater, watershed, and solid waste teams. We are looking for an experienced leader with a track record in utilities who can inspire excellence and innovation. Leading a stormwater management project that will remove 480 homes from the floodplain. Driving biogas development at the landfill for renewable energy generation. Strategizing the future of Lincoln's landfill operations, wastewater expansion, and future stormwater funding strategy to serve our growing community. Apply today to bring your expertise to our dedicated team and help shape a resilient, sustainable future for Lincoln Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with coursework in public or business administration, engineering or related field plus six years of experience in municipal public works and utilities programs; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills. To be eligible for insurance benefits, employees must work at least 30 hours per week. To be eligible for the retirement plan, employees must work at least 20 hours per week.
