Starting Pay: $36.57 to $45.71 DOE
Full-time, benefited position working 80 hours per two week pay period. Days of work are Monday - Friday with hours from 8 am - 4:30 pm. Some evenings and weekends hours depending on events sponsored by Marketing, Foundation and/or Community Engagement.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, executing and constantly enhancing clear and comprehensive marketing plans that directly align with the medical center's strategic plan and achievement of organizational goals.
The Marketing Manager is relied on to ensure the JRMC brand maintains its relevance, is relentlessly defended and that all material bearing the JRMC name reflects the unified character of the organization.
This position is responsible for outlining specific tactics to clearly illustrate their purpose, necessary tasks, associated investment (budget) and intended outcomes. The marketing manager balances both internal and external communication and promotional verticals and the distribution of department resources appropriately to reflect JRMC priorities.
Responsibilities
- establishes and monitors department budget
- primary lead on media selection and buying
- primary lead on vendor relationships and contracts
- translate budget into annual media map (calendar) that clearly indicates activities and timelines
- provide a clear line of site to department priorities
- engage team in the success of department and organizational goals
- act in the role of trainer, mentor, assessor and guide to unique roles within marketing team - with a goal of increasing scope, depth and ownership for each skill set:
- Media & Public Relations (external)
- Internal Communications (internal)
- Graphic & Web Design (universal)
- act as the functional project manager on any uniquely occurring project or campaign
- provide purpose, resources, connection to JRMC goals, goals of individual effort(s), assumptions to consider, obstacles, critical inclusions, etc.
- provide clear direction, complete detail and access to additional resources to inform any task dependent on this information
- anticipate questions and use critical thinking skills to account for broader impact
- develop work breakdown structure to account for all project tasks
- oversee the readiness as well as accurate and effective outlines for delegated ownership areas within project management system (recurring tasks, internal cycles, Foundation support)
- regularly establish original content or recraft content, with an emphasis on engagement and delivery of value, primarily in the following forms:
- campaign messages
- patient success stories
- radio scripts
- web content
- critical promotional collateral
- video story boards and scripting
- ensures availability of appropriate tools and their performance for efficient marketing operations
- act as project scheduler for quarterly AppleSeeds Basecamp launches
- traffic and organize miscellaneous marketing tasks within the online project management system
- maintain up-to-date understanding of the marketplace and competitor information
- ensure value is a component of all key deliverables
- monitor the quality of brand and ensure it is upheld in all materials and communication
- continuously identify process improvement opportunities across team
- maintain policy, procedure and guideline documentation for the department and those supplied as templates and tools to greater JRMC
- guide and support productive relationships with JRMC referral sources

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Business, or related field. Must have strong verbal and written communication, be creative and possess enhanced organizational skills. Must have comprehensive knowledge in planning and marketing/communication project management.
Work requires three to five years of experience in marketing leadership role. Must have excellent planning, organization, communication and follow-up skills. Strong attention to detail is a must. Higher education coursework in related subject material. Should have familiarity with creative software applications, market research and web technology
