A renowned design firms seeking a Senior Design Architect who will continually elevate the quality of our work in the DC (Tyson’s Corner) office through positive leadership, a collaborative work style, and deep design expertise. This high-impact position works with a transdisciplinary team to lead design of a wide range of project types with a focus on Community, Higher Education and Recreation/Sports. Responsibilities/Qualifications: Craft Design. Experience creating and developing overall design concepts and formulating design presentation strategies with understanding of multiple project typologies; Holistic Design. Ability to follow a project from concept design through design development and construction documents; Design Leader. 7+ years of professional experience including proven track record of project design leadership; Licensure. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Design, pursuing accreditation or holding registration, NCARB; Problem Solver . Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Design Mentor. Strong leadership, management and mentoring skills.Offering guidance and leadership; Relationships. Proven track record of success in maintaining and growing client relationships; Communication. Strong, persuasive communicator with excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex design concepts to clients; Collaborator. Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients and other key constituents. Technical Design Proficiency. Solid understanding of materials, construction processes and detailing; Technology/Tools Proficiency. Proficiency in Revit with the ability to use AutoCAD, Microsoft Suite, Sketch up, Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator, PowerPoint and Entrepreneurial. Motivated self-starter and works well in a collaborative environment.
