USADA is seeking a dedicated and driven person to help our organization fulfill its mission to "Stand with athletes to champion their right to clean sport, inspire true and healthy sport, and promote the integrity of sport." This is an incredibly exciting time to join Team USADA, as we continue to grow our Anti-Doping program and work to support major international competitions such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024 (Paris), 2026 (Milan), and 2028 (Los Angeles). New team members will have the chance to help ensure USADA is well-positioned in the near and long term for these opportunities as we look to the future with our efforts to protect clean athletes. With the 2028 Games on domestic soil, there will also be opportunities and growth potential over the years for USADA team members to underpin the organizing committee's commitment to a clean Games.
JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as a vital member of the TrueSport team to implement a robust content and communication strategy focused on increasing awareness of TrueSport, documenting impact, driving audience and brand engagement, and encouraging positive behavior change in the youth sport community. Writes, edits, and acts as the primary point of contact internally and externally for the development, maintenance, and distribution of TrueSport content in all mediums. Represents and promotes the TrueSport brand as needed at events, engaging with event attendees and serving as a knowledgeable spokesperson.
TrueSport, a movement powered by the experience and values of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, champions the positive values and life lessons learned through youth sport. Backed by U.S. Congressional mandate, TrueSport inspires athletes, coaches, parents, and administrators to change the culture of youth sport through active engagement and thoughtful curriculum based on cornerstone lessons of sportsmanship, character-building, and clean and healthy performance, while also creating leaders across communities through sport.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the development and implementation of a proactive editorial and distribution calendar for TrueSport content. Help identify, coordinate with, and interview subject matter experts whose values and expertise align with the TrueSport brand. Write and edit engaging, evidence-based content while ensuring alignment with brand standards, communication strategy, and program objectives. Ensure completion and distribution of content and other projects by deadlines. Oversee a comprehensive media and social media monitoring program to ensure TrueSport is aware of up-to-the-minute stories, articles, and trends affecting youth sport. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop various forms of content, including graphics and videos, and share across distribution channels, including web and social media. Help create and distribute newsletters while maintaining audience lists. Post and distribute content to external sites and partner platforms. Assist in the concept development, writing, and review of TrueSport publications. Forge partnerships with authoritative and respected content and media outlets. Develop and send content pitches, press releases, and other materials to media. Help prepare staff and partners for media engagements. Collaborate with internal and external partners to support and implement website and social media strategy and execution, as well as digital marketing initiatives. Collect and analyze data to regularly evaluate strategies and tactics and make evidence-based recommendations for improvement. Help develop and implement digital and print campaigns to boost engagement and awareness. Champion new workflows, tools, and processes for the continuous improvement of TrueSport's content and brand presence. Travel as necessary to conferences, trade shows, or events to deliver presentations or support/promote/document TrueSport engagement. GENERAL:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BS / BA degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field; or equivalent and applicable experience. Minimum of one year of experience in writing and/or editing communications, public relations, journalism, or related field and/or demonstrated experience in digital/interactive communications vehicles. Demonstrated track record of developing/writing/editing meaningful content and expanding and maintaining audience reach through that content. A versatile writer who can easily transition from creative storytelling to website and social media copy. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and analytics quickly. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Moderate proficiency in MS Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience managing schedules and editorial calendars with discipline and organization. Ability to multitask and to work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines. Ability to identify challenges early and proactively adapt when challenges arise. Ability to work flexible hours and travel, approximately 25% of the time, and/or as needed. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Three years of experience in writing and/or editing communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field and/or extensive experience in digital/interactive communications vehicles. Experience developing content specifically for youth sport participants and influencers. Knowledge of youth sport culture. Experience using programs such as Canva, MailChimp, social media platforms, and the Adobe Suite. Value integrity, justice, and respect among internal and external constituents.
Compensation: $21.00 - $31.00 per hour
The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) is recognized as the national anti-doping organization for Olympic, Paralympic, Pan American and Parapan American sport in the United States. The recognition tasks USADA with drug-testing and results management responsibilities for these athletes, however USADA is equally dedicated to preserving the integrity of sport through research initiatives and educational programs that inspire a commitment to true sport in the next generation of athletes.
